dieses Projekt beschäftigt sich mit wissenschaftlichen und technischen Möglichkeiten zur Erkennung von Pflanzen mit Hilfe eines mobilen Endgerätes (heute Smartphone oder Tablet) im Frontend, sowie einer Cloudapp im Backend.
Wir haben die Vision, dass es möglich sein kann, Pflanzen mit neuartigen Methoden aus den Bereichen Mathematik, Informatik und Biologie elektronisch-optisch zu erkennen.
Entstehungsgeschichte:
Der angehende Landschaftsökologe Enrico Behrens von der Universität Greifswald und der selbständige IT-Spezialist Oliver Fischer hatten die Idee zu dieser Applikation. Bei einer Exkursion stellte sich uns die Frage, ob die wissenschaftliche Methode des Werner Rothmaler zur Bestimmung von Pflanzen in einer Smartphone Applikation abbildbar ist?Ein Blick in die Zukunft:
Man nimmt sein Smartphone, macht ein Foto oder Video mit der Applikation, die Bilddaten werden in die Cloud übertragen und ausgewertet. Das Ergebnis mit der identifizierten Pflanze geht zurück an den Endbenutzer.
Wie gut die Erkennung sein wird, hängt sicherlich vom Bildmaterial ab, welches an die Cloud übertragen wird und an den Analysemöglichkeiten des Bildmaterials in der Cloud.

This project deals with scientific and technical capabilities to identify plants with the aid of a mobile terminal (now the smartphone or tablet) in the front end and a CloudApp backend that allows plants to identify in nature.
Our vision is that it may be possible to identify plants with novel methods from mathematics, computer science and biology electronic-optical.
History:
The aspiring landscape ecologist Enrico Behrens of the University of Greifswald and the independent IT specialist Oliver Fischer had the idea for this application. On an excursion, it was the question whether the scientific method of the painter Werner Roth for the determination of plants in a Smartphone application is mapped?
A look into the future:
You take his phone, take a picture or video with the application, the image data is transferred to the cloud and evaluated. The result is sent back to the end user with the information from which plant it is.
How good will be the recognition depends certainly on the footage, which is transmitted to the cloud and the method of analysis in the cloud.
